MISSION STATEMENT

The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia Free and Accepted Masons, Inc. is a fraternal organization dedicated to the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. Our organization takes good men and develop them to be better men. We dispense charity, promote family values and are endeavoring to significantly aid in the uplifting of humanity.

The mission of Freemasonry, its purpose for being, has been stated effectively by various persons and groups. One such statement summarizes us very well. "The mission of Freemasonry is to promote a way of life that binds like-minded men in a world-wide brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethnic, cultural, social, and educational differences by teaching the great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.  By the outward expression of these principles - through its fellowship, its compassion, and its concern - to find ways in which to serve God, family, country, neighbors, and self."

The aim is to take a good man and make him better; by strengthening his character, improving his moral and spiritual outlook, and broadening his mental horizons. Freemasonry believes in Universal Peace made possible by teaching its doctrine through the Brotherhood of Man and the Fatherhood of God.

Freemasonry! The oldest Fraternity in the world. A beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory, and illustrated by symbols. It encourages all that is good, kind and charitable...
